What about a “Belt” lipectomy?

Some patients who have been markedly overweight may benefit from a circumferential removal of skin and fat. This operation is very major and carries major potential complications, including death. Fortunately, most patients who have been markedly overweight will see little gain for the added risks. For some, however, the roll of skin and fat that starts over the abdomen extends all the way around. This situation is only corrected by a circumferential excision of skin and fat.
